MOVIE REVIEWS

Trailer for More Than a Game The dead are angry, which manifests itself in the usual ways in "The Haunting in Connecticut." At first fancying himself an "enigmatic poet," twentysomething Art gradually realizes that he must take action if he's going to escape his depressed life as a struggling musician in London. A solution comes in the shape of a book titled "It's Not Your Fault." Not content to just draw inspiration from its pages, however, Art invites the elderly author of the book to come live with him and his parents, which quickly becomes a painfully funny journey about dysfunction and growing up. In this autobiographical film from IN BETWEEN DAYS director So Yong Kim, two young girls are left behind by their mother. Sent to stay with their hard-drinking aunt, the sisters wait for their mother to return. When that doesn't happen, they are moved to their grandparents' house, where they must take care of each other. STEP UP star Channing Tatum gives up dance shoes but not his fast-moving feet for this action-filled film. Shawn MacArthur (Tatum) finds New York City is an unfriendly place when he moves to the metropolis from a small town, but conman Harvey Boarden (IRON MAN's Terrence Howard) sees Shawn's potential to be a great street fighter. Shawn battles big names and brutal brawlers on his way to the top, but he soon realizes the world of New York street fighting may be impossible to escape. With the success of the live-action film TRANSFORMERS, the robots in disguise proved that there was too much action for just one film. This sequel promises more in the epic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
